Reference Sire and Dam
Dixie Ryan-*Bandos

Considered by many to be one of the best horses ever bred by Ventura Farms, Legion VF is not only a superb individual, he possesses the pedigree to be an outstanding sire as well.

Sired by the immortal *Bandos, he is out of the beautiful *Bask daughter, Garnet, whom herself is a full sister to the great Cognac and Gdansk.

Legion VF embodies the finest in pure Polish breeding; the ethereal Saklawi beauty from his sire, and the famous *Bask movement from his dam.

His gentle nature and wonderful temperament are hallmarks of the *Bandos horses.

Shown at the age of 12, he garnered numerous wins in Stallion Halter, then went on to receive three regional Top 5's in AOTH Stallion Halter.  The following year, he was named the Region IV Champion Sporthorse Stallion, and was inspected and approved for breeding by two warmblood registries.  An 'improvement' breed, Arabians are eligible for entry into a number of different European and American Warmblood stud books.  He was awarded the gold medal at the American Warmblood inspection, and was accepted into the Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar, Int'l. He has won accolades from Dr Hanfried Haring, Victor Hugo-Vidal, and Otto Schalter among others for his type, substance, conformation and movement.

While it is an honor to be recognized by the Sporthorse community, it is Legion's unique and exceptional breeding combined with his outstanding qualities that make him a truly versatile sire, suitable for any number of disciplines and a superb cross on a wide variety of mares.

We are pleased to be able to offer Legion VF to the public.  With an impeccable pedigree, he is passing along the qualities he was bred for; beauty, athleticism, and tractable temperaments. In addition, the foals sired by Legion VF bear a striking resemblance to their sire--all with the unmistakable 'look' that makes this pedigree extremely prepotent.

Below are photographs of Legion VF and the late, great Eukaliptus(*Bandos x Eunice), Poland's most influential stallion in recent history.

The resemblance and similarities are striking, as many of the *Bandos horses have

"the look" that makes them extraordinarily recognizable.
